I live in, or at least very close to, an area of Boston called Downtown Crossing (a.k.a. “DTX”). It’s quite centrally located and as the name implies, has some intersecting transit lines. It can often become a neighborhood you pass through on your way to somewhere else. On this particular afternoon, I used the opportunity of visiting parents (who ducked into a store for some shopping )to spend a little time appreciating DTX for one of it’s best features… a closed to automotive traffic pedestrian walkway that cuts right down its heart.
