This post almost was a simple, no text gallery of some photos from a summer visit Provincetown, MA on Cape Cod. But I had to explain the wedding picture! We took at morning ferry ride to “P-Town” from Boston for a long day trip with some friends. The weather was amazing, so we were quite excited to begin with. Then the ferry concierge announces a special event is taking place, something he’s never experienced in many years of this ferry ride back and forth… a wedding, and we were all invited. That’s right, a lovely couple exchanged vows right there on the ferry. Now, I’ve never thought I’d want to take my photography into the wedding business. But it sure was a nice treat to capture a few memorable moments on that morning boat ride.
Once in P-Town, the rest of the day unfolded with a few more surprises. First, it was the final of the World Cup. While the bar that was recommended to us was packed, we found another place to watch and have a bite. Just awesome.
Then our friends’ friends invited us over their place after our day of strolling and shopping. Such hospitality. They opened a massive bottle of Rosé and took us to their favorite place for oysters and other snacks. Ok, yes, and we may have ended up at a few more waterfront bars, but how can you pass up beachfront summer cocktails?
